For the Dark Tower series, Stephen King created the word "ka-tet" to describe a group of individuals bound together by fate (ka).

I know there is a literary term to describe the same thing, but I have not been able to either remember or find a reference to for it. I'd appreciate any suggestions to get me beyond "team", "group", "association", etc. Thanks.

That's a tough one. If you were just talking about two people I'd say "soulmates." More than two...? "Espirit de corps?"
